Complaints in Prose Concerning Writers (or others of the sort) a poem by Lilia G.

Writers are a tricky lot
entangled in their web of make believe
Never bothering to grow old
and do away with the foolishness
that comes with prose so bold.

Notebooks and fluttering pages
and scribblings of forgotten stories
Ink blots of various kinds
indicate a forgetful pen
and an abundance in wandering minds.

How forgetful, these people are,
Oh how our society is filled!
With hundreds of the lot
and insults so daring
Scattered lines and rhymes bought
with the wages of paper and ink.
